Bridgeport Islanders 2025-2026 Season

Graphic and Motion Design

For the 2025-2026 season, the Bridgeport Islanders brought me on to assist in their graphic designs.

Up until 2021, they were the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. So for the teams 25th anniversary, we brought the roar back to the ice with Sound Tiger Saturdays. To do so, I developed an entire suite of animations to energize the fans and bring back the identity of the Sound Tigers.

I utilized the entire Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects) and Blender to create fierce motion graphics for the team.

    • Bulk editing headshots with varying lighting.

    • Creating material for every single game.

    • Last second changes to finalized graphics.

    • Developing creative ideas with minimal oversight.

    • Designing templates to be easily understood and edited.

  • One of my mentors, Megan Hopton, was our Production Manager for the team. Thanks to her, I was able to explore all of the aspects of producing games. I really enjoyed getting different perspectives on live sport production, and it helped me understand how my graphic designs were implemented into live games.

  • During my internship, the team announced that they were moving to Hamilton, Ontario. This made me the last graphic designer ever for the Bridgeport Islanders/Sound Tigers. Designing for a city that was losing their team taught me how to design respectfully, and I am honored to have had the opportunity.

Powerstation Events sponsor our Powerplays, so to build hype through the graphic, I animated the logo inside of the powerplay announcement.

Miscellaneous Animations

During Star Wars night, we implimented a “dodge cam”. I used assets provided by Lucas Films with Blender and After Effects to create this video in which fans had to dodge different Millenium Falcons and TIE Fighters.

One of our sponsors is a local car wash, so I made this animation to highlight a lucky row during our games who get free car washes.
